Special Report: 25 Years Later
In this story, Taylor Woods looks back at how the city has changed over the past two and a half decades through conversations with community members, leaders, and those directly impacted by the aftermath. From the pain and protests that filled the streets in 2001 to the policy reforms and conversations happening today, the story explores how policing in Cincinnati has changed since Timothy Thomas’ death — and the work many say still remains.
Radio Newscasts
Taylor shares with WICR listeners her last day in May of 2021 and how their support has helped her. She spent three years in the news department coming in during holiday breaks to become a better journalist. Her tenacity and determination was how she was awarded scholarships from the Indiana Broadcasters Association and the Indiana Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists. Taylor even won 2020 SPJ Student Radio Best Newscast and WICR Outstanding Radio Broadcast Journalist of the Year.
2020 Election Coverage
Taylor led WICR's 2020 local election coverage and reported on the republican party's reaction throughout the night. She interviewed Indiana Republican State Chairman, Kyle Hupher, about Governor Holcomb's leadership during the pandemic.
